Jorge Osorio is Chief Human Resources Officer for Citi Singapore and was appointed to this role
in January 2016. A career Citibanker, he has over two decades of global experience in a wide
range of HR Management and Development practices across six cities across the world.
Jorge began his Citi career in Peru in 1996. He started as a HR Project Manager before taking on
the role of Senior HR Generalist for Corporate Bank. Before leaving Peru, he was the Country
Compensation & Benefits Head, a position he held since 2000. In 2003, he joined the HR
Management Associate programme in the US and was seconded to several Citi businesses
across the country including Citicorp Trust Bank, CitiFinancial Mortgage and HR Corporate
Centre. In 2006, he moved to London to support the EMEA Consumer Regional Office in the
deployment of HR-related projects across the region. In the same year, he was transferred to
Madrid to support Citi’s Spain business, where he held the position of Senior HR Generalist for its
Jorge moved to Singapore in 2009 as the Business HR and Country Resourcing Head for
Consumer Bank, his first stint in the city-state. He relocated to the Philippines as its Chief Human
Resources Officer in 2012, where he experienced first-hand the expansion of Citi’s operations in
Manila. In 2016, Jorge returned to Singapore, taking the role as its Chief Human Resources
Jorge is regularly featured in the media such as The Straits Times, The Business Times, HRM
Asia and Human Resources Online on a range of HR topics.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Lima, Peru, and an
MBA degree from IESE Business School, Spain.
